Abrasive Jet Cutting Services
Abrasives can be introduced via the Paser System™... Particle Stream Erosion. This abrasive jet cuts by impacting and eroding the workpiece, rather than sawing, severing, shearing, burning or grinding, thereby eliminating material degradation.
The waterjet cuts relatively soft material with ease. With the Paser™, it cuts the hardest alloys and composits faster and cleaner than lasers and conventional methods
Materials Cut by Waterjet/Abrasivejet:
- Rubber
- Glass
- Thermoplastics
- Mild Steel
- Tool Steel
- Titanium
- Composites
- Foam
- Fiberglass
- Aluminum
- Graphite
- Ceramics
- Wood
- Plastics

Barnard Die, Inc.'s Waterjet System
About Barnard Die, Inc.'s System
This advanced cutting system derives its efficiency and power by pressurizing water at up to 55,000 psi... and focusing it through a jewel as small as .003" in diameter. Traveling at speeds up to 3 times the speed of sound, the jetstream cuts without heat and exerts little vertical or lateral force.

Computer Controlled
Close loop DC servo motors drive the fully programmable, 3-axis gantry with submicron positioning accuracy. These motors provide flexible, quick-response positioning, accuracy to within .001" for shape or contour cutting-depending on material type and thickness. The water knife path is controlled by computer and with its 3-axis capability, it can cut complex shapes and contours effortlessly.
The small kerf, speed and precision of our cutting system makes it ideal for cutting sensitive materials. Equally important, the low cutting temperature and the fact that there are no clamps, drills or other tool contact with the material assures there will be no substrate damage

Waterjet Cutting Services
INSUL-FAB OF TEXAS has the latest technology in waterjet cutting, Virtually any material can be cut with waterjet. Shapes that are difficult to produce with die cutting are easily cut with waterjet and no tooling is required. Softer materials like foam, fiber-glass, rubber and plastics are cut with water alone. Garnet is added to the water stream to cut harder materials such as metals, stone, glass, and composites. Their 60" X 120" bed size enables them to cut large parts and efficiently turn large orders.
- Cutting Foam, Plastic, Metal, and other Materials
- No Tooling Required
- Capacity for Large Parts and Large Orders

Water jet cutting services
Water jet cutting is a highly accurate, low cost alternative to die cutting, CNC machining, plasma arc cutting, and laser cutting. Jet machining centers use a computer-controlled stream of water moving at 1,700 MPH to cut materials as hard as titanium or as soft as foam within ±0.005".
Water jet cutting is often less expensive than other methods of cutting because we can work from your existing CAD files. No costly dies or elaborate CNC programming required. See for yourself... request a quote!

Water Jet Cutting
Water jet cutting uses a jet of water so powerful that it cuts cleanly and precisely through material in a single pass without shredding or crushing.
In the formation of the jet stream, water is pressurized up to 60,000 psi by a Jet Edge hydraulically driven intensifier pump. The pressurized water passes through an attenuator that stabilizes the jet stream. The water jet cutting action takes place as a result of the ultra-high pressure water being forced through a pre mounted sapphire orifice as small as .003". The pressurized water exits the orifice at extremely high velocities as a coherent water jet stream that produces a clean cut with minimal kerf. The compact, lightweight cutting head is designed for reliability in high cycle, on/off applications.
When coupled with a suitable motion control system, water jet cutting provides extremely accurate cuts with a high degree of repeat ability over a wide range of materials and shapes.
Cutting with water increases production rates on paper products, woven or non-woven textiles and similar materials without shredding or damage associated with conventional processing methods. The water jet stream cuts flexible materials quickly and accurately and overcomes distortion encountered from compression during conventional die cutting.
Water jet cutting is used primarily in the cutting of materials such as: Plastics, Corrugated Cardboard, Non-woven, Insulation, Foods, Paper, Rubber, Automotive Carpeting and Headliners
